Custom Printed Vinyl Solid Color Wraps
We started printing solid color wraps to match paint swatches in 2022 with our new HP 700w printer. We had several customers order solid-color wraps from us and they were all super happy with the quality of the wraps. Combining industry-leading vinyl from 3M with the latest and greatest latex ink technology from HP allowed us to print more consistent and saturated wraps than ever before. There was just one problem - color accuracy. We found pretty much across the board that the published #HEX codes provided by Sherwin Williams just weren’t producing the right color in the finished product.

We’re Starting Over From Scratch on Solid Color Wraps
We simply weren’t happy with how most colors were coming out - when we tell a customer their wrap will match SW 6289 Delightful, for example, we want it to actually match, not just get close. So, we’ve gone back to the drawing board on all of our solid color wraps.
We’re now going color-by-color, adjusting manually and hard-coding individual ink-channel values down to the decimal point into our printer, so that we can get our printed colors as absolutely close as possible and so we can replicate the same color over and over with confidence.
What Does This Mean?
In the short term - less available colors here on our website, and colors you’ve seen on our website before may no longer be available. In the long-term, it means much higher color accuracy from our wraps, and better peace of mind that a solid color wrap from RM wraps will be a much closer match to a paint you might decide to use in your home.
The table below is live and searchable - it has every paint color we have tested and manually adjusted to date, along with any notes on visual characteristics the wrap may have compared to the paint swatch of the same name. Any time we certify a new color, it will automatically make its way onto this list.
