    1. Preparation

    1. Gather Materials:
      • Custom vinyl wrap (ensure correct size).
      • Heat gun or hairdryer.
      • Squeegee, utility knife, and lint-free rag.
      • Cleaning agents: rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner.
    2. Clean Thoroughly:
      • Use rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner to clean the dishwasher's surface.
      • Pay extra attention to corners and edges to ensure there’s no residue or dust.
      • Dry the surface completely with a lint-free cloth.

    2. Starting the Application

    1. Align the Vinyl:
      • Position the vinyl on the dishwasher, ensuring it’s aligned properly.
      • For test alignment, use the included small vinyl scrap to practice before starting.
    2. Secure One Edge:
      • Peel a small section of the backing paper to secure the top edge of the vinyl.
      • Smooth down the edge to prevent shifting during application.

    3. Smoothing the Surface

    1. Work Slowly:
      • Gradually peel the backing as you press the vinyl onto the surface.
      • Use the squeegee to smooth out air bubbles. Start from the center and push outward.
    2. Tackle Air Bubbles:
      • If air bubbles appear, gently lift the vinyl and reapply it.
      • Use the squeegee to press out smaller bubbles.

    4. Handling Curved Areas and Edges

    1. Apply Heat:
      • Use a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the vinyl, making it more pliable.
      • Be cautious not to overheat; gentle warmth is sufficient.
    2. Wrap Around Curves:
      • Stretch the vinyl gently over curved areas while applying pressure with the squeegee.
    3. Cut Precisely:
      • Use the utility knife to cut excess vinyl along the edges or around handles.
      • Press down the edges firmly to secure them.

    5. Finishing Touches

    1. Trim Excess:
      • Once the vinyl is fully applied, trim any leftover material for a clean edge.
    2. Inspect for Bubbles:
      • Use your hands or squeegee to double-check for air bubbles.
      • For stubborn bubbles, use the knife tip to pop them gently, then smooth the area.

    6. Maintenance and Removal

    1. Durable Material:
      • Vinyl is designed to last, but handle it gently during cleaning.
      • Avoid using abrasive materials to clean the wrap.
    2. Easy Removal:
      • If you want to replace the vinyl, heat it slightly to loosen the adhesive and peel it off.

    Pro Tips

    • Take Your Time: Rushing can lead to creases or misalignment.
    • Practice First: Use the test vinyl piece provided to get comfortable with the material.
    • Ask for Help: If you're struggling, a second set of hands can make alignment and smoothing easier.
